Here it is!
Apparently I also need to remove the weeds from the joints in my driveway.

Congrats!
The world needs more colorful cars

Nice. That has always been one of my favorite versions of the 6, tied with the current model. And those simple, easy-to-clean wheels are the ones I want for my 5.

Congrats, in the time I had mine it was the funniest car I’ve ever owned. Sweet color too.

V6? Just watch the cats. They like to grenade and take the motor along with them. Other than that, it should give you plenty of trouble free fun.
My friend has the same car (same color), albeit a 2.3 4-cylinder 5-speed, and she has around 400,000 miles right now - all original.

That’s a great color. I’ve see a couple of Mazda3's with that color, but it’s been a while.

With 6 cylinders and in an actual color!? NICE.

I have a silver 2003 in the same spec but silver, and I can hear the cats’ death rattle at startup, hence the replacement. Well, that, and the color is delightful.

lol I put silver twice

Right? Puts a smile on my face every time I get a glimpse. Makes my silver 2003 pale in comparison.

Enjoy it! Looks clean AF

The 3 only came in that color for 2004, its first year of production here. :(

Liftback or sedan?

But it’s not a hatch! Pretty color, though. My ‘05 was Lapis Blue.

I’d loooooove a hatch/wagon (though if I had the wagon I’d have to find a way to convert the rear turn signals to amber; no idea why they made the red signals on only the wagon!), but it serendipitously came into my life (my other 6 is perfectly functional and I wasn’t actively looking) and beggars can’t be choosers.
The 6 had some genuinely great colors, like Lapis Blue, this Copper Metallic, the first-year Yellow, the slate blue, and there’s even a couple green colors. It’s sad to see them in white, black, and gold.

A few minor scratches than can be sanded and buffed out, AND the prior owner left a bottle of good factory touch-up in the glove box! There’s a few shallow hail dents but I have a buddy who does PDR professionally. The inside needs some TLC and a new driver’s seatback (collapsed bolster). I’m tempted to pick up the Mazdaspeed interior that’s sitting on eBay

I adore the color. The Copper Metallic (this color), Lapis Blue, and the first-year Yellow are my three favorite 6 colors after the slate/cosmic blue. It has so much more personality just sitting still than my dear silver 2003 6 sedan.

Sedan, unfortunately. I’d much prefer a hatch, or even the wagon, but this happened across my way serendipitously, so I couldn’t really say no.

If you do an interior swap, post thread! I want to look on in horror/awe

Nice! Such a pretty color!

If I do, I certainly will. I need to do more research on compatibility especially with the airbags/SRS system and weigh the options. The Mazdaspeed set on eBay was $800 last I checked, where a gently-used replacement seat is just over $100. Plus the existing rears already look immaculate, so I would likely go the cheaper option and get the headliner repaired/replaced along with the driver’s seat. We’ll see!

Thanks! The color is 90% of why I got it to replace my perfectly-serviceable daily-driver.

I don’t blame you :)
